A chill creeps in, a shiver down my spine
Is this death's touch, a fading, cruel design?
A silent nod, a whisper, "Judgment's nigh,
Embrace your past, let go of every sigh."
Jolted awake, a question burns so bright,
"Why fate's cruel hand, at the cusp of life's pure light?"
Straight and strong, with dreams yet to unfurl,
Why steal this breath, from this vibrant world?
He smiles, a glint, "A pact with every soul,
A secret kept, untold, to make us whole.
No mortal hand can hold the fleeting thread,
Live, love, and let your spirit bravely spread."
Life's cocktail, bittersweet, a fleeting show,
But what of that long night, where dreams have nowhere to go?
"Beyond," he says, "a vibrant, endless view,
Not darkness, but a tapestry anew.
I am change, a journey, never truly done,
Weaving nature's thread, beneath the setting sun."
Fear grips my heart, "Alone in the unknown?"
He answers softly, a place where seeds are sown.
No map exists, no compass guides the way,
Only the universe whispers, "Come what may."
Peace, not darkness, awaits on that soft shore,
Where burdens fade and worries are no more.
"Loved ones there?" I whisper a hesitant plea.
"Love's echo lives," he soothes, "eternally.
Bonds transcend the final, silent chime,
A flowing river of memories, woven through time.
I ferry souls across the gentle tide,
Where burdens drift away, on starlight they confide.
The spark rejoins the cosmic, vibrant flow,
The spirit soars, in an eternal glow.”
Life, a fleeting gift, death's hand outstretched to take,
How to conquer fear, for my spirit's sake?
"Surrender, child," he whispers, kind and strong,
"I am the bridge, where darkness turns to song.
Life and death, a dance that never ends,
The body fades, the soul forever transcends."
