This book could be very helpful if you are experiencing hurt or have experienced hurt or grief before.
‘Grief, Growth, Grace as the book’s title suggests will take you towards an inward journey of healing and retrospect many avenues of bereavement. Losing a loved one in a family or close friend circle can never be easy especially if you have lost someone of your blood. The journey of overcoming that loss, and that grief might not be ever easy but Dr. Neena’s book will gently take you step by step towards a wholesome healing. The case studies can give you even better understanding of how she has helped many people in the process of her own healing and bereavement.
She had made this book easy by breaking it into parts, and after grief, she talked about growth and grace. Growth is when you have been able to understand the nature of grief and accept the hurt to stay benignly. She talks about a Growth Mandala and it was an eye-opener for me how precisely and with lots of careful research I would say she has presented the model. There are various steps involved and if you need healing of the soul or you know someone who might be going through bereavement, this book must be read.
The last segment talks elaborately about forgiveness, and I really wondered, and always have is it possible to forgive those who have hurt us in some way or another. her case study further and elaborate process of explaining says it all, that will grace you can forgive and be at ease and peace with yourself. I am still a long way from there, but I will surely practice forgiveness as I have understood from the book that we don’t forgive the people who have hurt us, we forgive ourselves of not accepting the fact earlier that this is all in our head and we have let it all go, I think that is the sacred pilgrimage Dr. Neena is talking about. The self-affirmation of accepting the pain from grief and bereavement and transforming it into something meaningful and creating a balanced life purpose for oneself and those around us is the gist of this book I would say! I will highly recommend this book to all to give it a read, it can be a contemplating experience altogether in the best way possible.
