A fast-paced parapsychological novel that will make you turn the pages and want to read the ending fast.
The story is based in two time zones; one is happening in 1985 and the other story is taking place in 2016, but both the tales are interconnected. The backdrop is the picturesque Darjeeling and a home that has all kinds of ominous things happening in it. The crux of the story is Ricky a six-year-old boy who experiences paranormal presence in their new home, while in 2016 the two main protagonists, Karma and Sakshi, also begin to experience paranormal presence in their new home.
The story keeps travelling in the past and present, the transition is though swift, yet smooth and doesn’t confuse the reader. The narration is simple and lucid and gives vivid imagery of the events occurring in the novel. The book is not exactly an extreme horror, but it has enough paranormal occurrences that will take you by surprise. The story basically plays with your mind and makes you wonder, leaving you with so many ‘whys’ and ‘hows’.
‘Karma’ can be a good read for horror fans and for those as well who fear reading horror, because this one is more psychological horror that will not give you the jitters but will make you question your sanity.
What is the connection between two different time zones and an evil lurking in a house in both cases? Why is Ricky not the same after his nightmare? Why are Karma and Sakshi stuck in a situation where it seems the world is closing on them? Are all of their ‘Karmas’ intertwined and making them experience such paranormal experiences? To find out more, read the book today!
